RSS Showtime Feeds
What is RSS? RSS feeds are really just a special kind of web page, designed to be read by computers rather than people. It might help to think of them as the free, internet version of the old-fashioned ticker-tape news wire machines. How can I subscribe to a Starplex Cinemas RSS feed? There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using an internet browser and some of which are downloadable applications. Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail. For more information about available RSS readers, click here. Once you have an RSS reader, go to your local theater's subscription page to add our feed to your reader. Also, Mozilla Firefox users can add their local Starplex theater's feed as a Live Bookmark. Internet Explorer 7 and Safari users can also bookmark our RSS feeds. What are the benefits of RSS? Unlike e-mail, RSS feeds won't clog up your inbox or get rejected by picky servers or firewalls. It can be easily added to common applications like My Yahoo!, your Google front page and a number of other customizable web pages. Last but not least, RSS is completely free, doesn't require you to share any personal data and your subscription can be cancelled at any time simply by deleting the feed from your reader. Can I use Starplex RSS feeds on my own site? Starplex Cinemas does not accept any liability for its RSS feeds. Please see the Terms and Conditions for full details. |
