'Blood Diamond' Sneak Preview

Blood DiamondStarplex Cinemas and Warner Brothers Pictures are pleased to announce that the Starplex Stadium 16 in Corpus Christi, TX will host a special advance screening of the new drama Blood Diamond on December 2nd.

Set against the backdrop of civil war and chaos in 1990's Sierra Leone, Danny Archer, a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy, a Mende fisherman are joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives.

While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon - who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields - has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone. With the help of Maddy Bowen, an American journalist whose idealism is tempered by a deepening connection with Archer, the two men embark on a trek through rebel territory, a journey that could save Solomon's family and give Archer the second chance he thought he would never have.

Blood Diamond is directed by Edward Zwick (Glory, The Last Samurai) and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly, Djimon Hounsou, and Arnold Vosloo.

Blood Diamond will be shown at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd at the Starplex Stadium 16 (5218 Silverberry) in Corpus Christi, TX. As an added bonus, patrons purchasing a ticket to this special screening of Blood Diamond may also see The Fountain at either 5:05 p.m. or 9:55 p.m. at no additional cost.

Tickets for this advance screening are now on sale at the Stadium 16's box office. Regular engagement begins Friday, December 8th at select locations.

"Blood Diamond", a Warner Brothers Pictures release, is rated R for strong violence and language.
