'Shrek the Third' Thursday Premieres and Opening Week Tickets Now On Sale

Starplex Cinemas and DreamWorks SKG are pleased to announce that eight Starplex Cinemas locations will host special Thursday night premiere showings of the new family fantasy comedy adventure Shrek the Third at 10:00 p.m. on May 17th.

In addition to these special premiere showings, tickets for all opening week showings of Shrek the Third are now on sale at all first-run Starplex Cinemas locations.

When Shrek married Fiona, the last thing he had in mind was becoming the next King. But when Shrek's father-in-law, King Harold, suddenly croaks, that is exactly what he faces.

Unless Shrek (with the help of his trusted companions Donkey and Puss In Boots) can find a suitable King for Far Far Away, the ogre could be stuck with the job. The most promising candidate, Fiona's cousin Artie, an underachieving Medieval high school slacker, proves to be more of a challenge than they bargained for.

Shrek the Third is directed by Chris Miller and Raman Hui and features the voice talents of Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Princess Fiona, Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots, Julie Andrews as Queen Lillian, John Cleese as King Harold and Justin Timberlake as Artie.
